Keep cool, make sure they have a cool and shaded place to rest.  In extreme heat bring them indoors. 2, Water, provide plenty of fresh water in large containers, sometimes multiple containers are a good idea. 3. Kids wading pools are great for pets too. 4. Walk your furry friend early morning or evening. Hot pavements can cause serious damage to their paws. 5. Did you know that Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world?  We all need to be sun smart this summer and we’re not just talking slip, slop, slap!  It’s now – Slip on clothing that covers as much skin as possible. Slop on a high protection sunscreen at least 20mins before going outside. Slap on a broad brimmed hat. Seek shade.

Modeina estate, for another season, will sponsor the Westside Strikers FC - this time with a $5,000 injection of funds.

The 2020 soccer season is well underway with trials in progress and pre-season training not far away.

“As a Gold sponsor, the funding will go toward training equipment such as ball, goals and referee vests, as well as helping to support the establishment of a fun new program aimed at 5 years old to orientate them into soccer and assist with skill acquisition,” says Marketing Manager, Marea Ekladious.

Thirteen not-for-profit groups working across Melton have received more than $15000 in Modeina Community Fund grants.

Dennis Family Group Director, Grant Dennis hosted the night and spoke to the recipients about the importance of the Community Fund program.
